SUP Buddies

You've had a lesson - whats next ?   SUP Buddies.


After your first lesson you should be able to stand and navigate yourself on the river safely. Now it's time to practise and develop those skills. SUP is good for your mental well being, the peace, tranquility and the opportunity to have a goodnatter.


Oli will be teaching on the river on Saturday mornings in April weather permitting, as a former student your welcome to come down, meet up with other at 10.30, bring a packup and head out for a paddle. If he need to cancel a lesson, we will also cancel supbuddies as in our opinion the conditions arn't suitable for 


Don't worry about turning up alone, you'll be in company with others who are starting out on their journey under the watch full eye of one of our guides.


This isn't a lesson, our guides are British Canoeing Qualified Leaders but not qualified to teach,  we'll  offer tips advice to help you progress,  this should be seen as a next step to your lesson.. Hopefully you'll form little groups in future and explore further field. Don't worry we won't leave anyone.


We charge a booking fee of £1 if you've got your own board, this is to create the professional relationship and it make it clear its not just another Facebook group paddle. We will plan a safe and enjoyable journey and operate within British Canoeing Guidance. If you haven't got a board & equipment you can hire one of ours identical to those within your lesson for £10.


We've introduced an online booking system so that you can plan ahead and join us whenever you want.




SUP Buddies extends beyond Saturday. If you want to find someone to paddle with join our whatsapp group and see if anyone wants to join you. Drop us a message and we will add you to the group.
